Meet Your Instructor
My name is Violet Simpson and my connection to sewing goes back to my grandmother — an incredible seamstress and quilter who sewed with me when I was young.
She didn't teach theory first. She put fabric in my hands and showed me what to do next. That direct, project-first approach stuck with me through years of formal sewing training and in-person classes.
When I designed The Quick Start Sewing Method, I built that same approach my Grandma taught me into every step — a real project, from cut to finished garment, with nothing in between that doesn't directly move the needle forward.
When her hands began to shake with age and she had to stop, she passed her machines on to me.
With those machines, I have built many sewing projects, dresses, pants, purses, ect as well as The Quick Start Sewing Method specifically because I know what trips up total beginners, (I was one not very long ago) and what they actually need to get a real result fast, and what gets in the way.
